I have had good luck with it on a bead blasted matte surface. Varied results on polished surfaces. Cold blue tends to etch the surface a little so even a very well polished surface will not come out looking like a nice Colt deep polished blue. M.

The only negative thing is you will have a hard time with it going by the directions on the label. But if you will take a blow dryer and heat the part up a little bit it works amazingly. I tried it going by the directions and I couldn't get it to do very much.

WebOxpho-Blue looks good and does a decent job of protecting the metal. I put some of it on an old bench vice’s anvil a few years ago and it is showing no signs of rust.
