WebHere, we report on the observation of 2D superconductivity in electron gases formed at oxide-insulator/KTO (111) interfaces. We have measured Tc as high as 2.2 K, and this value can be tuned by varying carrier density during the sample growth. We also observe an emergent stripe phase, which breaks the rotational symmetry in the KTO (111) surface. WebIt is shown that the dephasing which suppresses the weak localization correction to the conductivity has the same physical origin than pair-breaking in superconductors and thus-following de Gennes-may be expressed in terms of the correlation function of the operator for time reversal.

Web19 de set. de 2024 · The study of exotic superconductivity in two dimensions has been a central theme in the solid state and materials research communities. Experimentally exploring and identifying exotic, fascinating interface superconductors with a high transition temperature ( Tc) are challenging. Web30 de abr. de 2009 · Superconductivity in the extreme two-dimensional limit is studied on ultrathin lead films down to two atomic layers, where only a single channel of quantum well states exists. Scanning tunneling spectroscopy reveals that local superconducting order remains robust until two atomic layers, where the transition temperature abruptly ...
Web13 de abr. de 2024 · Hybrid structures between conventional, s-wave superconductors, and two-dimensional topological insulators (2D TIs) are a promising route to topological superconductivity. Here, we investigate planar Josephson junctions fabricated from hybrid structures that use thin films of cadmium arsenide (Cd 3 As 2 ) as the 2D TI material.
